Description: This course covers elementary and advanced principles and practices related to CT imaging. It will discuss the history and development of CT,  CT components and instrumentation, technical factors and parameters in CT image formation, patient care, contrast agents, scan parameters, dose, CT image artifacts, and clinical competency signoffs. The 3.5 day course extensively covers CT physics and anatomy. Several competency assessments are administered throughout the duration of the course to prepare the technologist to take the CT registry exam.
